The Penarth Reuse Project, which encourages local residents to give away items they might have binned, has gained popularity rapidly since its launch in September last year.
With an environmental message at its core, the project consists of a Facebook groups that has been created for people who want to give, or get, items for free in Penarth.
South Wales Police are appealing for information on a teenage boy from Penarth who is wanted on suspicion of assault.
Christopher Wheatley, 19, is from Penarth but he also has connections with the Barry area.
Penarth Tree Forum, part of the Civic Society, is committed to promoting and maintaining the urban tree canopy in this town.
The emphasis of the group this spring is on the planting of urban garden trees.

Local residents have been voicing their concerns after a spike in car-related burglaries in the Penarth area.
