WORKERS have removed signage from the old Monty Smith Garage at 56 Windsor Road, symbolising the beginning of the end for the long-disused building.
The once-garage is soon to be demolished and replaced by a four-storey block of flats.
SUPERMARKETS in Penarth will be open for the following hours during the Christmas period.
THE LATEST crime statistics for Penarth have been published, showing an overall increase in recorded incidents in the last two months.
There was a total of 104 reported incidents across St Augustine and Plymouth, Stanwell, and Corneswell in November, up from 86 in October and 95 in September.

The Petitions Committee has agreed to put questions regarding the Upper Cosmeston Farm development to the Welsh Minister for Finance, Rebecca Evans.
This came during a virtual meeting on Tuesday 15 December after a campaign to "Save the farmland and green fields at Cosmeston" garnered over 5,000 signatures.
