A number of Dinas Powys residents are unhappy with the lack of commitment to maintaining the Ash Path from Dinas Powys Tesco car park to Sully Road.

Given the current emphasis regarding 'Active Travel' and the reduced use of cars, it is disappointing that this path receives such a low priority.

Quite simply, the Vale council should either allocate adequate resources to maintaining this route or stop proclaiming its support for 'Active Travel'.

The stiles and kissing gate are obstructions to cyclists, buggies and people with mobility problems. The path has become narrow due to hedges not being cut back adequately and there is a flooding problem.
