It is Gin 64's 1st Birthday tomorrow and to celebrate they will be holding the official launch of their Penarth Gin - Penarth's first and only premium Welsh dry gin.

The event will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the history behind Penarth gin, what inspired Gin 64 to produce it, and how they achieved the taste using the finest of botanicals and purest of welsh water.

Bottles of Penarth's first gin we will be on offer at a 10% off discount on the day.

The owners said: ''We stock over 150 different gins sourced from all over the world.

''After tasting various gins with our clientele over a 4 month period we were amazed by the variety of different tasting notes our guests look for in a premium dry gin.

''What we have achieved here with Penarth Gin is a truly premium Welsh Dry Gin which is intensely smooth and carries on surprising you with different tastes long after your first try.

''Being a Welsh dry gin it is juniper led, with subtle notes of peppercorn, orange, lime and grains of paradise.

''A town with a history as rich and coloured as Penarth's deserves a spirit unlike any other.

''It's a gin that's distilled in our Garden By The Sea, to be enjoyed by everyone. This is a taste of our home, and we want nothing more than to share it with you.''

Alongside the gin tasting there will also be entertainment provided by Welsh singer and Voice UK star, Leighton Jones.

BBC Wales will also be attending the event as they follow the journey of Gin 64 as part of a docuseries on Welsh entrepreneurs.

The community is invited to join Gin 64 for their launch and celebrations on Saturday the 30th of November at 6pm onwards.
