More than 1,000 people packed into Penarth Lawn Tennis club for a firework spectacular on Friday night (1 November).

Spectators were treated to a festival of fireworks, and a giant bonfire in perfect weather.

A club spokesperson said: "This event just gets better and better. The mild, still weather meant people could stay outdoors and enjoy the fireworks and the bonfire."

"We are really grateful for all the volunteers who gave their time to organise this show and raise funds for the club and for our charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The club invited the Welsh Italian Pizza Company, Lushy's, who did a hog roast, and Wilmores, who provided hot drinks.

Extra bars were opened up to keep visitors happy. Younger visitors queued up at the sweet stall, and mulled wine was sold in aid of our charity appeal.
