Water Asset Operations Consultant

Water Asset Operations Consultant | Cardiff, 3 x per week | £450 - £550 a day inside IR35

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Water Asset Operations Consultant to coordinate and schedule the assessment of critical water infrastructure, including pumping stations, wastewater assets, and reservoirs. This role sits at the heart of operational delivery, ensuring inspections, surveys, and maintenance activities are planned efficiently and executed in line with regulatory and safety requirements.

You will work closely with field teams, engineers, and asset managers to maintain visibility of asset condition and performance, helping to prioritise work and support long-term asset health.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule inspections and condition assessments for water and wastewater assets
• Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and operational staff to ensure timely delivery of activities
• Monitor asset data and flag risks, delays, or emerging issues to relevant stakeholders
• Support the prioritisation of assets based on risk, condition, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Produce reports and dashboards to provide visibility of asset assessment progress

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in scheduling, coordination, or operations within utilities, infrastructure, or a related field
• Experience working with asset management or scheduling systems
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
