Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client near Chippenham who are actively looking to recruit a Lead Multi-Skilled Assembly Engineer on a permanent basis. What you will be doing:
- Assembly of a range of products ensuring they are built to high standards of precision and quality
- Leading the coordination of jobs and process improvements
- Assembly and integration of complex systems including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components
- Working from detailed engineering drawings, wiring schedules, schematics, hydraulic circuit diagrams and work instructions
- Installation of hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, actuators and fittings
- Electrical wiring, cable routing, termination and test of control panels and sensors
- Testing of assembled systems, identifying and rectifying faults where necessary
- Experience within a heavy engineering environment essential
- Extensive hydraulics and diagnostic experience (large part of the role)
- Electrical ability including 12/24v
- A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems and plan ahead
- Ability to read and reverse engineer production plans
- Attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards
- Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
- BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
