We're recruiting a People Co-ordinator on behalf of a confidential client. This varied role offers the opportunity to support the full employee lifecycle, provide first-line HR guidance and help improve the way People services are delivered.

Reporting to the Head of People Services, you'll be a key point of contact for managers and colleagues, combining day-to-day HR administration with support for employee relations, payroll and compliance.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating onboarding, contracts, employee changes, probation and leaver processes.
  • Responding to People queries and providing guidance on policies and procedures.

  • Coordinating meetings, taking notes and preparing documentation for formal HR processes.
  • Supporting payroll administration and maintaining accurate, confidential employee records.
  • Coordinating right to work checks, visa documentation and compliance monitoring.
  • Helping review and update People policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Contributing to HR systems improvements, automation, reporting and wider People projects.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in an HR or People role, such as HR Co-ordinator, HR Officer or People Advisor.
  • A strong understanding of employee lifecycle administration and HR processes.
  • Experience supporting low-level employee relations matters.
  • Experience coordinating right to work and visa compliance processes, alongside payroll administration.
  • Confidence using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Clear communication, sound judgement and a helpful, service-focused approach.
  • An understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • An interest in improving systems, processes and the colleague experience.

CIPD Level 5, or working towards it, and a relevant HR or administration qualification would be desirable.

The role is based in Cardiff with hybrid working, with travel to operational sites where required.
