About the Role

As a Youth Tutor, youll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging training and assessment for youth learners. Whether in a classroom, workshop, or one-to-one setting, youll support young people in building skills, gaining qualifications, and reaching their full potential.

This is more than a teaching roleits about mentoring, motivating, and making a real difference.

What Youll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions tailored to youth learners
• Support learners with their specialist qualification route, including vocational and classroom-based elements
• Monitor progress and ensure timely qualification achievements
• Register and assess learners, conduct controlled tasks, and maintain awarding body standards
• Keep accurate records and complete all necessary documentation
• Travel across a regional area to meet with learners at their locations
• Continuously develop resources and improve your own skills through CPD and standardisation meetings
• Maintain high-quality standards and contribute to positive learner outcomes

Who Were Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in work-based learning and delivering Essential Skills (up to Level 2)

• Qualified Assessor (or willingness to work towards it)

• Great communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• IT literate and confident with admin and learner documentation

• Knowledge of ESW requirements, safeguarding, and Prevent duties

Desirable:

• Level 3 Essential Skills Practitioner Certificate

• City & Guilds 9300 Level 2

• Welsh speaker
