Lecture: Twelve Art Days of Christmas

The Turner House

UNTIL Thursday 9th December

A festive lecture led by Art Historian Morgan Haigh pairing the twelve days of Christmas with some of the greatest works of art from European History.

From milking maids by Vermeer to Hogarthian leaping lords, Renaissance holy doves to nineteenth-century French hens and medieval golden rings, this wide reaching talk will attempt to match great works of art with the often bizarre lyrics of the popular carol revealing their secrets and context along the way.

Ticket includes a glass of mulled wine and mince pie.
