Stanwell School has sent home Year 7 after a student in the year group tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement emailed to all parents, Head Teacher Trevor Brown said:

"The school has been informed of a confirmed positive case of Covid-19 of a year 7 student who attends the school.

"We would ask you to collect your son/daughter from the school as soon as possible or to contact the school to give permission for your child to make their own way home.

"We are working closely with Public Health Wales , the local authority and NHS Wales TTP to ensure that all necessary action is taken."

"We will be in touch later today to inform you and students of next steps."

The school can be contacted on 02920707633 or [email protected].

This is the second confirmed case at the school, after a year 12 student tested positive, but did not attend school during their infectious period. As a result the year group returned to school.
