Piotr Skoczylas, the town-renowned founder of Stol Coffee, is appealing for donations so he can buy a new tricycle.

The now-iconic yellow and blue frame broke last week, after seven months of delivering coffee and cookies up and down the many slopes of Penarth.

The tricycle is currently back up and running after the community rallied to provide temporary fixes.

Pearsons Garage at Salop Street welded the frame together again for free, but finishing touches still needed to be applied.

The Bike Shop on Glebe Street then received a mysterious £60 anonymous donation to be spent on Piotr's tricycle, which the owner Karey Sharp offered to double (his team worked on the bike half-price).

But Piotr was told that it is only a matter of time before the frame breaks again, and that he will have to find a new bike in the long-term.

"For the past seven months, I've been cycling around town delivering homemade cookies, filter coffee and meaningful conversations," he says in a promotional video.

Stol Coffee has become synonymous with community spirit. Anyone who has met Piotr will attest to his obsession with spreading togetherness in the community.

"The frame is going to break sooner or later again, and probably when I'm going down the hill at 50mph... it's not safe.

"To continue on my mission to bring people together in a meaningful way and to deliver goodies and good vibe, I need your help to buy bike number two."

The money raised will be go towards the following expenses:

Custom made trike: £5340

Graphic Designer: £375

Videographer and content: £200

Vogue Stainless Steel Prep Table with Upstand 1500mm: £ 228

Vogue 4 Tier Wire Shelving Kit 1525x610mm: £227
