The team at Bar 44 on Windsor Road, Penarth, is appealing for information after the premises were broken into this morning.

At approximately 5am today, an individual smashed through a front door window.

Spirits and a kitchen bin were stolen, co-owner Natalie Isaac told Nub News.

"It would be great if any businesses on Windsor Road could check their CCTV between 5am and 5.05am to see if they spot anything on the way in or out with a clear face shot," she said.

Police were at the scene in the town centre this morning.

The blow comes after only being able to trade for 150 days in 2020 due to Covid and having to close the original Cowbridge site permanently.

In Cowbridge this weekend, one business was also broken into, and another was vandalised.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police told Nub News there was nothing to suggest it is connected to any other incidents.

"Being a victim of burglary, whether it's your home, your business, or where you work is a traumatic experience and we are investigating this incident at Bar 44 in Windsor Road, Penarth," said the spokesperson.

"Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting occurrence *332769.
