Penarth lifeboat crew called to rescue yacht off Lavernock Point

Penarth's volunteer lifeboat crew were called last night to tow a yacht back to safety from off Lavernock Point.

The crew were paged by Milford Haven Coastguard at 10.10pm to the 28ft vessel, which had suffered a mechanical failure,

Penarth RNLI Lifeboat towed the yacht back to Cardiff Bay.

"After washing the lifeboat down and making it ready for service, the crew left to their beds at 00:45," they shared on social media.
